1. (U) On September 11, POLOFF delivered reftel on
requesting support for UNAIDS Executive Director candidate
Michel Sidibe to George Panagiotidis, Embassy Attach of the
MFA D1 Directorate for International Organizations.
Panagiotidis thanked us for the information and said it would
be reviewed by the D1 Director, Ambassador Rallis. As of
September 17, they still had not made a decision on their
candidate. POLOFF will report any future response in a
follow-on cable.
