¶1. On 19 August, Poloff delivred reftel points to Loukas
Tsokos, First Secretary MFA D1 Directorate of UN and
International Organizations. On August 26, A/Economic
Counselor delivered reftel points to Ioannis Sidiropoulos,
Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance;
Panagiotis Thomopoulos, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece
(BG); and Panagiotis Kyriakopoulos, Director of Monetary
Policy of Banks of the Bank of Greece. They thanked us for
the information but had no substantive reply at this point.
Embassy will provide Washington with updates should they
become available.
MCCARTHY
