Embassy Ashgabat conveyed ref a demarche on preparations for the
2008 meeting of the U.S.-Central Asia Trade and Investment Framework
Agreement (TIFA) to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 8.
The Charge followed up with a separate demarche to the Foreign
Minister (ref b). Any substantive response will be reported
