Fried-Antonov meeting to MFA Deputy Director General Ahmet
Gun (who is Turkey's representative on the HLTF). Gun
expressed appreciation for the readout, said it would take
time to digest the contents, but offered one substantive
comment right away: Turkey saw the proposal to discuss
individual issues with smaller groups of concerned allies as
a step toward dividing Allied unity, and not as a means of
streamlining the discussion process.
