(C) We conveyed reftel points to MFA Bilateral Economic
Affairs Department Head Artemis Sumer October 20. The GOT
intends to commit financial support to Georgia but will not
announce a specific amount at the Georgia Donors' Conference
in Brussels, October 22, according to Sumer. Internal
discussions with the Ministry of Finance and other agencies
are continuing. The Turkish delegation will be led by State
Minister Mustafa Said Yazacioglu, whose responsibilities
include foreign assistance and Turks living abroad. Turkish
International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA)
President Musa Kulaklikaya and MFA Caucasus Department
representatives will join the delegation.
