(U) We delivered reftel demarche to MFA Department Head for
Nonproliferation and Disarmament Bora Kerimoglu on August 19.
Kerimoglu expressed appreciation for the information,
reaffirmed the GOT's commitment to enforce all Iran-related
UNSC resolutions, and pledged to share the information with
relevant GOT agencies. While he could not confirm whether
any of the entities or individuals listed in reftel have been
subject to GOT enforcement action, Kerimoglu said the GOT has
been careful to adhere to the UNSC resolutions and ensure
that appropriate action is taken against any individuals and
entities listed in the annexes of UNSC resolutions found to
be engaged in activities in Turkey.
