With the exception of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG),the Government
of Jordan (GOJ) set new, higher prices for fuel products, effective
March 11, in line with its decision to liberalize prices with
monthly controls (reftel). Local press reports noted that prices of
crude oil on the American market hit record levels topping $108 per
barrel, while global markets continued to witness speculative bids
for even higher prices. The following current retail prices of
petroleum products in Jordan can also be found on the Ministry of
Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) website (www.memr.gov.jo):
