1. (SBU) Pol Chief delivered on November 23 reftel demarche
and talking points to Ayman Aamiry, director of international
organizations at Jordan's MFA. Aamiry listened closely to the
talking points and accepted the list of 2007 resolutions with
an anti-Israeli bias. He noted that the message "had been
delivered" and that "Jordan would do what it could."
2. (C) Comment: We will continue to work the issue with the
Jordanians. Given Jordan's majority Palestinian population,
however, the Kingdom will likely find it difficult to change
its position on resolutions with anti-Israeli bias.
