(U) PolOff delivered reftel demarche and draft resolution on
compliance with nonproliferation, arms limitations and
disarmament agreements to Khaled Takhayneh, head of the
Foreign Ministry's Disarmament Section on September 29.
Takhayneh said he would deliver the information to the GOJ
delegation at UNGA in New York. He noted that Jordan had
supported most or all disarmament and nonproliferation
resolutions, including the 2005 version resolution on this
subject, but did not indicate whether Jordan would now become
a co-sponsor of the new resolution.
