Masarweh agreed that neither Iran nor Syria were appropriate BOG members but offered no substantive response. He said he would communicate the points to FM Bashir in New York and consult with Jordan's Ambassador in Vienna, Makram Queisi. ¶2. (C) Comment: The GOJ has shown no inclination to publicy break Arab consensus in favor of Syria, but has suggested that it would not support Syria in a secret ballot situation (ref B).
