Political Counselor delivered reftel invitation May 13 to
Jamal Shamayleh, Director of the Foreign Minister's private
office, and flagged the imminent registration deadline.
Shamayleh did not offer an immediate response, but said the
MFA would review the letter and make a decision regarding
attendance. On May 15, Defense Attache Office delivered the
invitation and accompanying details to Jordan Armed Forces
(JAF) General Headquarters (GHQ) for the attention of the
Chief of Defense General Sarayreh. Post anticipates that the
JAF will also receive the invitation via the Jordanian Senior
National Representative at CENTCOM. Post will follow up to
encourage high-level attendance.
