(SBU) In separate conversations May 13 and 14, PolCouns
revisited Ref A demarche with Jamal Al-Shamayleh, Director of
the Foreign Minister's private office, and poloff followed up
with Hussam Al-Husseini, Deputy Director of the Foreign
Ministry's Bureau of International Organization Affairs.
Husseini said that his department had reviewed the
declaration and was disposed toward signing it, but a final
decision would be forthcoming within the next two working
days, after the completion of consultations with the MFA's
Department of Human Rights.
