Takhayneh noted that the travel of Iranian nationals to Jordan has been monitored by Jordan going back to 1979, out of generalized security concerns. As a rule, any Iranian who wants to enter Jordan must first be screened by both the Ministry of Interior and the General Intelligence Directorate, and thus Jordan already has a mechanism in place to monitor the travel of Iranians. He said the lists of designated Iranian proliferators have been passed to the MOI and GID. HALE
