We delivered reftel points during a July 14 meeting with MFA
Deputy Director for UN Affairs and Inter-regional Conferences
Abdelmalek Bouheddou. Bouheddou had no comment on Algeria's
position concerning India's Draft Safeguards Agreement, but
mentioned that India's ambassador had recently raised the
matter with the Algerians. He agreed to pass the message to
his colleagues and contact us regarding any Algerian
response.
