(S) On October 15, reftel non-papers were delivered to the
Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the Taiwan Ministry of
Economic Affairs. The Econ officer reviewed the contents of
the non-papers, especially the non-paper related to Gotech
Testing Machine Incorporated, reftel A. BOFT officials said
they would look into the transactions and report the findings
to AIT.
