Per action request in reftel, ESTHOff delivered subject demarche to
Ambassador M. K. Ibrahim, Director of International Organizations,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Nigeria and
encouraged GON support for the U.S. position. Ambassador Ibrahim
promised to transmit immediately the U.S. position to the Nigerian
Mission to UNESCO. He commented that GON thinking was very close to
that of the U.S.
