nonpaper urging Nigerian support of the U.S. candidate Dr.
Ines R. Triay to serve as President of the Third Review
Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Joint Convention on
the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of
Radioactive Waste Management (Joint Convention) in Vienna
from May 11-20, 2009 per reftel. Materials were given to
Maria Laose, Deputy Director of the First United Nations
Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 3.
There was no immediate substantive response. Any future
responses of note will be reported septel.
