(S) On April 3, Econchief met with MFA International
Organizations Director Yacub Al-Hosani to ask the UAE to
investigate the transfer of MTCR-controlled engines to Iran
and to take all appropriate measures to prevent Noor
Aerospace technologies from violating either UAE export
control laws or relevant UNSCRs. Econchief highlighted that
Noor Aerospace intended to falsify export license
documentation and left information as a non-paper. Al-Hosani
undertook to ensure that the information was passed to
appropriate investigative authorities. Al-Hosani will be out
of the UAE for two weeks, but we will follow up with him on
his return.
