1. Reftel A requested that post conduct a post-shipment verification
at the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company Ltd for the shipment of several
industrial and laboratory furnace parts shipped No License Required
by Selas Fluid Processing Corporation, Blue Bell, PA.
2. On December 29, 2008, Export Control Officer (ECO) contacted Mr.
Mohamed Ismail Saleh, Purchasing Department, Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi
Polymers Company at their HQ office in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Saleh
confirmed the order by Abu Dhabi Polymers, an Abu Dhabi Government
company and advised that these items are to be used at the Borouge 2
expansion project at the Al-Ruwais Petrochemicals Facility in Al
Ruwais, UAE. (See Reftel B reliable PLC conducted at the Al Ruwais
facility). The Borouge 2 Project is one of the largest plastics
projects in the world and it is in the process of expanding by 2010
into the world's biggest olefins conversion unit. The Abu Dhabi
Polymers Company (aka: Borouge) was established in 1998 as a joint
venture between the Abu Dhabi Government owned Abu Dhabi National
Oil Company (ADNOC) and Borealis, a European plastics provider.
3. Post considers the Abu Dhabi Polymers Company Ltd. to be reliable
recipients of U.S.-origin items for this transaction.
