1. Following coordination with Dutch DCM, PolOff discussed reftel
with MFA Director of International Organizations Yacub al-Hosani on
December 21, 2008. Al-Hosani was appreciative of the timely notice
and pleased with so much time to coordinate a "high level"
delegation. He did ask for further information on the following to
help determine an appropriate delegation: 1) level of attendees (he
said "Deputy Foreign Minister" as noted in the cable was doubtful),
and 2) primary agenda and specific goals of the conference (to help
identify the right participants).
2. We provided readout of the meeting to the Dutch, who were
appreciative and who will pass the above back to The Hague.
