¶1. Pol/Econ Section Chief delivered talking points in reftel
on June 5 to Bertin Tanoh Koffi, Deputy Director General of
Maritime and Port Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation.
¶2. Koffi stated that the Government of Cote d'Ivoire welcomed
the Global Maritime Partnerships and would be interested in
participating in this initiative. He said Cote d'Ivoire has
always been interested in cooperation on maritime issues with
the United States. Koffi noted that Cote d'Ivoire needs
technical assistance, training, and equipment.
