1. PolOff delivered REFTEL diplomatic note to MFA Asst
Minister for International Organizations and Security Pjer
Simunovic on July 24 with request for urgent reply.
Simunovic reported that these assurances will require the
concurrence of the MOD and the GOC's legislative office and a
government decision, but he anticipated no opposition to the
assurances and no problem meeting August 3 deadline.
2. Simunovic's office told PolOff July 27 that they expect
all necessary signatures by the end of the day and will get
the government decision next week, by August 2 at the latest.
