Post and resident EUCOM representative fully support the proposal in reftel to allot $325,000 of FY 07 1206 funding for Croatian Joint Deployment Interoperability and Readiness Training and English Language Training for Deployment. ¶2. The proposed Joint Deployment Interoperability and Readiness Training will provide not only Croatia, but also the other A-3 nations with the necessary trained personnel to execute coalition deployments utilizing US aircraft. This training will enhance interoperability between Croatian, Macedonian, Albanian, US, and NATO forces, while also minimizing the stress on U.S. Aerial Port Support personnel currently required to execute Croatian/A-3 deployments in support of the global war on terror and coalition peace support operations. ¶3. The 1206 funding dedicated to English Language Capacity Building will provide two "Level 4" English language laboratories and the necessary training material to immediately enhance the English language training capacity of the two Croatian brigades currently providing the majority of Croatia's deployable forces in support of the global war on terror and coalition peace support operations.
