1. In response to reftel, there has been (1) no support of Croatia's
tobacco control efforts, (2) no cases where post took action on
behalf of tobacco or tobacco products, (3) no cases of tobacco
industry requesting assistance from the U.S. Embassy and (4) no
documents related to specific measures the DOS has undertaken to
ensure compliance with the directive prohibiting employees from
promoting tobacco or tobacco products or seeking to reduce marketing
restrictions.
