(leaving as an aide memoire) to Deputy Foreign Minister
Kirakossian. CDA emphasized that this resolution was a
serious step, which brings new obligations on all UN member
states. He noted that Iranian claims (Ref B) of their
peaceful nuclear energy intentions were not credible, given
all the benefits and support that Iran would receive from the
international community if it met its IAEA obligations.
Kirakossian took the message on board without substantive
comment.
