We delivered reftel points to Irena Skardziuviene, Head of
the MFA's UN and Council of Europe Division, on December 20.
She said that the GOL is also very concerned about potential
rapid growth of the UN budget. She added that it is a
responsibility of member states to maintain fiscal discipline
and that both USG suggestions for budget options had merit.
She said she would speak with the GOL's delegation in New
York to confirm it is paying close attention to the budget.
