We delivered reftel points to Irena Skardziuviene, Head of
the UN and Council of Europe Division in the MFA's
Multilateral Department, on November 7. She told us that she
and Vice Minister Jaroslav Neverovic will be Lithuania's
delegation for the Community of Democracies Ministerial in
Bamako. She said she was very pleased to receive additional
information about the meetings because the website is not
informative and is only in French. She added that Neverovic
will speak about democratic governance and sustainability,
drawing on specific examples from the GOL's experience. She
said the GOL is seriously considering financial support for
the new secretariat, which will be based in nearby Warsaw.
