1. (C) Lithuania will send a representative to the INTERPOL
General Assembly meeting in Morocco on November 5.
Argentina's diplomatic representation for Lithuania is
provided by its mission in Finland. We contacted Embassy
Helsinki for help determining if our assistance would be
beneficial.
2. (C) Helsinki Pol Chief discussed subject demarche with
Argentine DCM Gustavo Rudolfo Adise October 30 and shared
with him the substance of the demarche points included in ref
A. Adise advised that his Embassy had already delivered a
diplomatic note on this subject to the Lithuanian MFA and
MOI. Adise warmly thanked the USG for its willingness to
assist with this demarche, but advised that his Ambassador
had handled the matter adequately and did not need the United
States to repeat the demarche in either Vilnius or Helsinki.
3. (U) Many thanks to Embassy Helsinki for its assistance
with this demarche.
