(SBU) Charge and A/DCM met with Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith,
Acting Director General, Department of International
Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA),to deliver
referenced demarche on July 25. Saleumxay welcomed the
information, noting the Government of Laos (GOL) receives
periodic updates on terrorist agencies involved with
Hizballah from the Counter Terrorist Committee. According to
Saleumxay, the GOL uses this information to put under
surveillance anyone so designated in Laos. (Note: he did not
specify how often that happens.)
