1. EconPolOff delivered reftel demarche on March 15 to Peter
Huber, the Austrian MFA's DAS-level Deputy Director for
International Organizations. Huber said that the points we
made were valuable and worthy of rethinking. Specifically,
Huber mentioned that in regard to the issue of the Office of
Counsel, for instance, the GoA had previously discussed this
matter and would strongly support the USG position on this
particular issue. He promised to forward the points to the
Fifth and Sixth Committee experts and the MFA Staff
Association in Vienna for further review.
