(SBU) EconUnit Chief delivered refs A and B talking points on
August 30 to Ulrike Magloth, Director of the Federal
Chancellery's International Economic Affairs Office (GoA lead
on OECD issues),encouraging the GoA to support and
contribute to the Partnership for Governance (PDG). Magloth
said that the GoA continues to have concerns as to the
efficacy and utility of the PDG (ref C). The GoA will not
join as a founding member, but it will not play a negative
role in the development of the entity. According to Magloth,
the GoA will monitor the PDG and keep open the option of
joining at a later date.
