1. (S) Acting Econ/Pol Counselor delivered reftel nonpaper
on July 3 to Johann Froehlich, Head of the MFA's JHA
Department, and on July 13 to Elisabeth Ottawa, the Ministry
of Finance's Counterterrorism Coordinator. Froehlich and
Ottawa promised to provide any unclassified identifier and
background information, which Austria has, on Iranian
entities and individuals listed in the Annexes to UNSCRs 1737
and 1747. Both noted that they would need to consult with
Austria's Intelligence Service (BVT) on the request.
