¶1. (SBU) Acting Econ-Pol Counselor delivered reftel talking
points on July 2 to Ulrike Magloth, Director of the Federal
Chancellery's International Economic Affairs Office (GoA lead
on OECD issues). Magloth said she had shared the USG
position with Austria's OECD representative and with the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Development Cooperation
Department. According to Magloth, the GoA remains concerned
that the Partnership for Democratic Governance is duplicative
of on-going work in other institutions. However, Magloth
stressed that the GoA would not block consensus to create the
PDG.
