ACTION REQUEST: Reftel requested instructions from the Department regarding observer status requests under consideration by the Sixth Committee. The General Committee will consider the inclusion of an additional item for observer status for the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf during its second meeting on October 19. USUN expects the General Committee to approve inscription of this item and allocation to the Sixth Committee's agenda. Therefore, USUN requests instructions from the Department regarding future Sixth Committee action on this additional observer status request.
