USUN has emailed to Department (EUR-IO/EX/FM-Alice Green) a copy of a note and three related annexes from the SYG dated May 31, 2007 concerning the financing of three peacekeeping operations. Annex One contains current amounts payable by the U.S. Government as follows: Operation Amount($) -------------- -------------- UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) 05/01/07 to 06/30/07 1,932,999 UN Organization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC) 05/16/07 to 06/30/07 36,241,276 UN Mission in the Sudan (UNMIS) 05/01/07 to 06/30/07 48,968,260 Total Payable 87,142,535 ¶2. The note states that funds are urgently required for the financing of these operations and are due within thirty days of receipt of the note. Bank accounts to which payment may be made are contained in Annex Three. ¶3. Annex Two provides the legislative basis, the period covered, the gross and net amounts to be apportioned and the symbol of the document in which the details of the assessments of all member states will be reflected. ¶4.
