¶1. (U) This is an action request - please see para 3.
¶2. (SBU) In a May 31 encounter, UN Secretary-General (SYG)
Ban Ki-Moon expressed to PermRep his "great interest" in the
President's climate change initiative (reftels),and his
desire to ensure coordination between the U.S. and UN efforts.
¶3. (SBU) Action Request: While USUN will share relevant
background materials with the SYG, Mission requests immediate
guidance in responding to the SYG's question regarding
coordination between the U.S. and UN climate change
initiatives.
