On December 21, the UN General Assembly adopted without a vote a resolution entitled "Credentials of representatives to the sixty-second session of the General Assembly" (reftel). Afterward, Iran made an statement expressing its reservations about the Credential Committee's report to the General Assembly (A/62/596),which lists Israel as one of the 130 Member States that had submitted credentials to the sixty-second regular session of the General Assembly. Iran said its decision to join consensus on the resolution should not be construed as recognition of the "Israeli regime." ¶2.
