1. (U) THIS CABLE CONTAINS AN ACTION REQUEST -- PLEASE SEE
PARA 3.
2. (SBU) On July 6, Ambassador delivered reftel talking
points requesting Tunisian support, in the form of police
and/or military observers, for the Darfur Hybrid Operations
to MFA Chief of Staff Hatem Atallah. Atallah asked what
countries besides Egypt have agreed to support the Hybrid
Operation. He also asked what type of "equipment or
training" would be available if Tunisia was able to offer
support in Darfur.
3. (U) Post requests Washington guidance on which countries
plan to contribute forces and how the USG might support those
countries that do.
