¶1. (U) The Charge conveyed reftel points to MFA Secretary for
Americas Affairs Dr. Ahmed Fituri October 25, urging the GOL to
make contributions in a manner supportive of UN and Transitional
Darfur Regional Authority efforts in Darfur. Fituri said
Ambassador to Khartoum Omar al-Hamdi would represent the GOL at
the conference and indicated that he had been authorized to
pledge a financial contribution to Darfur relief efforts (NFI on
the amount).
