Principal Deputy Director Yukiko Okano (protect). According
to Okano, Japan is planning on participating in the PDG, but
there is "probably not" room in the budget for a significant
financial contribution. Okano said that the Japanese
government would need at least until the week of August 20 to
formulate it's official response.
