¶1. (C) POLOFF delivered ref A non-paper to Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Non-Proliferation, Science, and Nuclear
Energy Division Foreign Policy Bureau's Isami Takada on June
¶28. Takada noted that Japan is always happy to cooperate
with the United States, and thanked us for our efforts on
both UNSCR 1737 and 1747. Takada added that he would need
time to study the information and will get back to us with
any questions or relevant information. FINATT delivered the
non-paper to Ministry of Finance Legal Office Assistant
Deputy Division Chief Hiro Yamashita on June 29. Yamashita
promised to share any information available regarding the
designations, and thanked us for our ongoing efforts to
coordinate on the resolutions.
