Post received the following note verbale from the Dutch MFA endorsing the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism Statement of Principles: BEGIN TEXT: No: DVB/NN-223/07 NOTE VERBALE The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and welcomes the growing support for the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism. The Netherlands fully endorses the terms of the Statement of Principles adopted by the Global Initiative and can consequently respond positively to the request to join the Global Initiative. The Netherlands is ready to participate in activities in the Plan of Work as hosted by other partner nations and will engage with partners of the Initiative to further strengthen it. The Netherlands has provided the same Note Verbale to the Embassy of the Russian Federation. The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the United States of American the assurances of its highest consideration.
