1. (S) Emboffs have communicated reftel demarches to Dutch
Foreign Ministry, law enforcement and intelligence officials.
Dutch intelligence officers confirmed their awareness of the
upcoming PKK meetings and potential participants. MFA
officials acknowledged the importance of closely monitoring
flights from the EU to northern Iraq, but added that there
currently are no direct flights from Amsterdam to Erbil.
2. (S) Emboff also discussed reftel A points with the DCM of
the Turkish Embassy in The Hague, Hakan Cakil, who had
received similar demarche instructions from his Ministry.
