Poloff urged that the Government of Uzbekistan use a broad definition of "arms and related materiel" in the course of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1747. Poloff also urged that Uzbekistan submit its required report on UNSCR 1747 to the UN Sanctions Committee as soon as possible. Fayzullaev said that it is unlikely that Iran would seek to obtain arms or other prohibited items from Uzbekistan. However, he said that he would pass the information to the appropriate authorities.
