(C) MFA U.S. Division Chief Ismat Fayzullaev called Poloff at
home the evening of April 9 and said that the Government of
Uzbekistan had decided not to send a representative to the
Natanz ribbon-cutting ceremony. Fayzullaev said that the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed its embassy in
Tehran not to participate in events that might be construed
as showing support for Iran's nuclear program.
