(U) On September 18, Poloff delivered reftel points to
Tiina Krevald, MFA Acting Director for International
Organizations and Cooperation, on U.S. priorities for
the Community of Democracies (CD). Krevald said the
Government of Estonia (GOE) shares U.S. concerns and
priorities for the CD. Estonia does not have a
diplomatic presence in Africa and provides limited
development assistance in the region. Therefore,
Krevald said, the Estonian delegation attending the UN
General Assembly on October 1 will express the GOE's
support for Mali, CD Chair, in its efforts to organize a
high-profile Ministerial on democracy and development.
