Anne,
Please thank Peter Bodde and your team for all the effort
that went into my June visit. I benefited immensely from
my time there and I thank everyone for their hard work
every day and your forthrightness during my visit. I
particularly appreciated hearing from your entry level
officers and the principal officers from around the
country. As you have already seen, you will be leading a
great team.
A visit like this is a big undertaking for any post, and
having Admiral Fallon and Richard Boucher there at the same
time did not make it any easier. I want to thank, in
particular, Rachael Doherty for her exceptional efforts.
Many others were also critical; please pass my appreciation
on to all of them.
I look forward to returning this fall.
