1. (SBU) Department requests that Embassy send a letter to the JFK
Hospital Administrator requesting a death certificate for M. Moussa
Cisse a/k/a Mamadee Kamara, former Chief of Presidential Protocol for
former President Charles Taylor, who was an individual subject to the
measures imposed by paragraph 4 of Security Council Resolution 1521
(2003) concerning Liberia. Such a letter will facilitate UN and USG
discussions regarding removing Cisse from the travel ban and asset
freeze lists.
2. (SBU) Department also requests that Embassy continue its efforts
to confirm whether Cisse left a last will and testament or who his
next of kin may be.
3. (U) Department greatly appreciates Embassy's ongoing efforts to
obtain the documents and information needed to update the 1521
Committee's list.
