The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests AIT Taipei's assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on license 05-050029742 for the export of traveling wave tubes and acceptance test data to Taiwan. AIT Taipei is requested to complete this Blue Lantern within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern inquiry will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for request: Foreign intermediate consignee Yuan Fan Inc., was associated with a previous unfavorable Blue Lantern. ¶4. Action AIT-Taipei: Establish the bona fides of Yuan Fan as a reliable recipient of United States Munitions List (USML) articles. Also, confirm with Taiwan Air Force Logistics Command that they have received the listed USML articles, and they are being used for the purpose stated on the license. End action request. ¶5.
