(U) This is an Action Request. See paragraphs 2-4. ¶2. (U) The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Posts' assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on license 05-1002499 for the export to Pakistan of a coil for an AN/APN-59 Altimeter System in a C-130 Aircraft. Posts are requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. (SBU) Reason for Request: Watchlisted foreign consignee, Satair A/S, was involved in the re-export of sensitive defense articles in the past. This request is for Posts to conduct a post-shipment check to assure the exported item was received by the intended end-user and used for the intended purpose. ¶4. (U) Action Request Copenhagen: Post should make appropriate inquiries to determine that the exported item was properly forwarded to the end-user. Post should also make appropriate inquiries to assure Satair A/S understands and complies with US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Action Request Islamabad: Post should make appropriate inquiries to determine if the end-user, Pakistan Air Force, received the listed United States Munitions List (USML)-controlled article and that the item is being used for the purpose stated in the license. ¶5.
